What is a Cart Recovery Email?

Your potential customers may leave your store without completing an order due to a variety of reasons. Sending out follow up emails are the best way to remind your customers about yourself.

How to add a Cart Recovery email in Checkout X

Checkout X has already a built-in Cart Recovery email feature and you can use it as simple as clicking a couple of buttons. You don’t even need to fill out any of the details to be up and running.

  • Go to your Checkout X Dashboard
  • Go to Configuration > Cart Recovery page
  • If this is the first time you create a Cart Recovery Email, just click on the Add a Recovery Email button
  • Simply click on the Save Email button at the bottom of the page to use the default settings. You don’t need to provide any further information if you don’t want to
  • “Voila!” 👇

Customize the Cart Recovery Email

You can fine-tune your Cart Recovery emails by changing email’s subject, body, button title or email footer and make sure you convince as many customers as possible to return back and complete their purchase.

  • Go to your Checkout X Dashboard
  • Go to Configuration > Cart Recovery page
  • Click on the Cart Recovery Email you would like to edit
  • Select when you want to send your email out
  • Edit Email Subject and Email Title
  • Make your Email Body more convincing, i.e add a discount code
  • Modify the Call to Action Button text in your email
  • And finally, you can change your email’s footer text as you wish
  • Click Save Email and your changes will be effective immediately 👇

You can check a preview of your Cart Recovery email as your customers would see it

  • Go to your Checkout X Dashboard
  • Go to Configuration > Cart Recovery page
  • You will see a list of available Cart Recovery Emails you have already created earlier
  • Click on the eye icon on the preview column 👇

Monitor your Cart Recovery Email Performance

Don’t forget to monitor the performance of your Cart Recovery emails. So, you can fine-tune them and get more customers back.

🙋 Can I see the details of the customers who abandoned the checkout without completing a purchase?

Currently, Checkout X’s built-in Cart Recovery feature does not provide the details of the customers who abandoned the checkout.

🙋 What other options are available with Checkout X as a Cart Recovery feature?

Checkout X offers other integrations where you can use as a third party cart recovery application, namely Mailchimp, Klavyo, and SMSBumb. You can learn more about integrating them with Checkout X here.

🙋 Why can’t I see the abandoned checkout customer details in Shopify?

When you start using Checkout X, the abandoned checkout details will not be available in Shopify. You can use Checkout X’s built-in Cart Recovery feature or use one of our third-party application integrations.

🙋 I want to use another Cart Recovery/Abandoned Cart application which is not listed in the integration list of Checkout X. Can I use it?

Checkout X does not support any other unlisted third-party applications.

⚠️ Beware that Checkout X may stop working when an unsupported application is installed on your e-commerce platform.
