What is the “email marketing” checkbox and how does it work?

The email marketing checkbox provides the option for the customer to subscribe to your newsletter and get exclusive promotions, discounts, and news about your store. It gives the consent to send the customer emails. Once the customer adds their email on the checkout page and the email marketing box is checked, they will be able to receive your emails.

Note: Once the checkbox is chosen and the email of the customer added in the “Email Address” field, they will be automatically subscribed to your newsletter.

How can I make the email marketing checkbox pre-checked on the checkout?

  1. Login to your Checkout X account

  2. Click on Configuration.

  3. Go to Customize Checkout.

  4. Scroll down and find Pre-check email marketing checkbox.

  5. Check the box if you want to make the marketing field pre-checked.

  6. Don’t forget to click Save Checkout.

Note: If you uncheck this field, the checkbox will be still visualized on the checkout page, but it just won’t be pre-checked and the customer will need to do subscribe manually to your newsletter.
