How do we calculate pricing?
Checkout X uses a combination of a fixed fee and a Transaction commission on your sales to calculate monthly charges. ( For example, €39 per month + 1% of your sales. )
Each store is considered as a separate billing account. If you have more than one store connected to your account, each will have an independent subscription.
Our billing plans
We're offering 2 different plans for small-medium and large stores.
- 💍 Standard plan - €39/M with a 1% transaction fee
- 👑 Premium plan - €199/M with a 0.5% transaction fee
When making orders via Checkout X you will not pay transaction fees to Shopify.
Changing your plan
You can change your plan at any time, by following these steps:
- Go to the Billing section
- Select the new plan you want
- Click Save Details
Any plan change will take effect on your next invoice!
Free trial period
The trial period starts once you add your billing information and select your subscription plan in the app. The standard trial period is 14 days.
While you are in trial you can use all of Checkout X's features and your customers will also be able to see it. There are no limits!
Trial period expires
When your trial period expires you will be charged based on the plan you have selected. You will receive an invoice with the plan fee + the transaction fees that you accumulated during your trial period.
Cancel trial period
You can cancel your trial period before it expires and avoid having to pay for any fees.
Restart trial period
Keep in mind that your free trial is valid for 14 days after your first subscription. You can't restart it.
When subscribing, you’ll be asked to fill your Billing Details. You are required to fill all of the billing details fields, which will later appear on your invoices. You can change them at any time, but the change won’t be reflected on past invoices.
If you operate as a company
Fill all of the billing details with the information of your company. If the company is not VAT registered you can skip the VAT ID field.
If you operate as an individual
if you are not a business just select the checkbox: "I don't have a company" located the billing information. 👇👇👇
Depending on the information you filled, we may be required to charge you additional VAT fees.
Additional VAT fees
Additional VAT Charge will be added to your invoice if you match one of the following criteria:
- Your company is registered in Bulgaria
- You selected “I don’t have a company” and your billing address is within the European Union
The VAT Rate is between 17%-27% depending on your billing country located in the EU.

To subscribe, you can use one of our payment methods:
- 💳 Automatic payment with Credit card - you will get charged automatically. More information about how our Credit Card method works can be found here 👈
- 💸 Manual payment with Paypal - By selecting Paypal you will need to manually pay each invoice. More information about how our Paypal method works can be found here 👈
You can switch from Paypal to a Credit Card subscription anytime you wish to do.
Canceling your subscription
You can cancel your Checkout X subscription at any time. In order to do that, visit the Billing section of Checkout X and click on Cancel Subscription.

🙋 Why am I charged more than my plan?
You can get charged more because VAT rates were added. Keep in mind that the VAT rate changes from country to country. Check your invoice for VAT fees
🙋 Why I cannot subscribe using my credit card?
There could be a few reasons for that:
- Invalid Credit card
- Problems with your bank security
- Insufficient funds

🙋 My VAT number is not accepted
Checkout X is connected to EU’s VIES and if your VAT number is not being accepted, it means that VIES considers the number invalid.
We’ve seen cases where a company has a VAT registration, but it’s deemed invalid. If you encounter such a problem, please contact your local TAX authorities and leave the VAT field blank until the situation is resolved.
🙋 If I have multiple stores, do I need to subscribe multiple times?
Yes. Billing is done per shop, not per merchant. You can have different billing details and billing method on each store and you’ll need multiple subscriptions.
If you have more than 10 active stores on your account, contact our support to discuss potential group discounts.
